The Horticulture Research and Development Centre at Saint-Jean-sur-Richelieu is specialized in field vegetable crops. At a regional level, the Centre is also involved in specific research in a few of other crops.

The Centre conducts research in production, protection and conservation of horticultural commodities for example through precison farming in integrated production, options to substitute pesticides and modern post harvest technologies.

Scientists work in collaboration with individuals, groups and companies in order to assure a better competitivity to the canadian horticultural sector.

Alabama Nursery & Landscape Association - Working for a Greener Alabama

Established in 1951, the ALABAMA NURSERY & LANDSCAPE ASSOCIATION is a professional association for those involved in and allied to the ornamental horticulture industry. The business of the Association is conducted by a Board of Directors who are elected by the membership. The ALNLA promotes the Alabama ornamental horticulture industry through its annual trade show, (www.gshe.org) and by its link with organizations in Alabama and throughout the nation.

     The ALNLA strives to provide the information and support to make your business more efficient and profitable. ALNLA accomplishes this purpose through communication, education, up-to-date information, and association with others in the industry. There is strength in numbers. It is one of the oldest and most prestigious gardening organizations in the United States whose mission is to educate and inspire people of all ages to become successful and environmentally responsible gardeners by advancing the art and science of horticulture. AHS is known for its educational programs and the dissemination of horticultural information.
