Virtual Assistant Networking Association (VANA)

"A Virtual Assistant (substitute VA or Virtual Associate) works independently at an arm’s length, via the Internet, utilizing the latest technologies, to provide immediate professional support, services and skills to busy entrepreneurs and business managers.

Partnering with a VA reduces stress, protects cash flow, eliminates administrative hassles, and enables business people to find the success they originally set out to achieve."

What is a VA?

The International Virtual Assistant Association defines a Virtual Assistant as, "an independent entrepreneur providing administrative, creative and/or technical services. Utilizing advanced technological modes of communication and data delivery, a professional VA assists clients in his/her area of expertise from his/her own office on a contractual basis."

Virtual Assisting is a newly emerging industry that saw its beginnings in the mid-1990s. As independent contractors, Virtual Assistants employ advanced communication technology to provide businesses with alternatives to onsite staffing.

Virtual Assistants are part of a global network of professionals who share resources, skill, talents, and ideas. This network of professionals is committed to providing superior services which results in client success.

Remember the old Vidal Sassoon commercials "if you don't look good we don't look good." This sentiment couldn't be truer for Virtual Assistants as VAs partner with you to drive your business to its full potential.

What's Being Said by the Media?

"A virtual assistant offers several advantages over a paid employee. When you hire a virtual assistant you get all the benefits of outsourcing - no employee tax and benefits issues, coupled with the loyalty and steadiness of a company employee."

Realty Times ~ Hire a Virtual Assistant

"VA's are a flexible resource that can usually handle as much or as little work as you have for them, and that will only charge you for time spent actually working. Because VA's are small business owners in their own right, they understand the challenges facing entrepreneurs, and tend to be self-motivated. "

Business Investor Magazine ~ Virtual Assistants: A New Wave of Workers

"The virtual assistant concept makes a great deal of sense - a worker that you use only when needed, a worker that does not need to be supplied with a computer or workspace, who invoices only for work done (no payroll hassles), a worker that does not need to be provided benefits."
